Next Meeting

The next regular club meeting will be held on Tuesday Nov.6th, 6:30PM at the field. Elections of officers for next year will be held.

 Highlights from last Meeting

·        Minutes were read and approved.

·        Treasurers’ report was read and approved.

·        President’s report:

o       There will be an article about our club in the December issue of the AMA Model Aviation magazine. A check was presented to the club in the amount of $350 for the article.

o       The family fun fly-in is scheduled for October 13 and members are urged to invite their families to come and share in the food and fun .

o          Joe Fusco thanked Charlie Davenport on behalf of the club for having the runway paved at his expense.

o       The water tank has been moved to the back of the clubhouse.

·           The following issues will be discussed at the November meeting:

o       Getting Power and water run to the field.

o       Returning to monthly club meetings.

·        Motion and second was made to impound all transmitters except the 2.4Ghz spread spectrum. Motion carried.

·        Motion and second to

·        install safety barriers between the benches and the field. Motion carried.

   Safety Tip of the Month

Please note the NEW safety rule saying you must impound your radio .This is not optional except for 2.4Ghz spectrum radios.

         Club Events

The family fun fly-in was a great success and there was a large turn out. Many different types of planes were flown and and a couple of planes were lost but everyone had a good time. A great lunch was served consisting of hamburgers, potato chips, baked beans and drinks. A special thank you goes to Darrel Long for providing the drinks and ice and to Ronnie Gossett, Stan Scott, Nelson Swords and others for preparing the food. We also appreciate all the hard work done behind the scenes by other club members in getting the field ready for the fly-in.. Job well done by all!
