Next Meeting

The next regular club meeting will be held on Tuesday Oct 2nd, 6:30PM at the field. Next meetings will be held in Nov. and Christmas party in Dec.

Minutes from last Meeting

·         Minutes were read and approved.

·        Treasurers’ report was read and approved...

·        President’s report: The field is in good shape and there has been a lot of good flying. We have several volunteers willing to cut the grass and maintain the field. A special thanks to Wade  Calhoon for his help..

·        Plans were made for the upcoming Family Fun Fly Oct. 13th.  Hot dogs, burgers, chips and drinks will be provided by the club.  A committee consisting of: Don Alsep, Nelson Swords, Ronnie Gosset and Tom Van was formed to manage the event.

·        Nelson Swords provided a new lock for the front gate.  Same entry code to be used.

·        Nominations for next year’s officers will be held at the Oct meeting.

Officer Nominations

You get your chance to nominate officers at the October meeing.  Elections will be held in Nov.  If you are interested in serving, please let someone know and be there at the October meeing.

 New Runway

The Blacksheep field now has a beautiful 40x300 paved runway. This was donated by Charlie Davenport as a gift to the club. The site was undercut so the pavement and grass are even with each other.  Now we have grass and pavement to fly from.

When you see Charlie, please let him know how much you appreciate his efforts.

BSRCC Family FUN FLY

On Sat Oct 13th we will hold a family fun fly.  This is free to all members.  Hot dogs, burgers, drinks, etc will be provided.

Festivities begin at 10AM and continue to ??  Fly what you bring.  Bring your lawn chairs and be ready for a fun day.

     Safety Tip of the Month

Don’t forget to check those batteries before flying.  Just because you charged overnight doesn’t mean the charge is still good..
